thoughts: woo, felt great today! my misery wall was really early in my first 5 minute running set and once i hit it, i was flying! can’t believe how fast i went today. it certainly wasn’t all fast (my total pace is still snail-esque and there were times i could’ve walked much faster than i ran), but it felt better than a number of my workouts have before. for the first time i can actually see my hard work coming together and think i may actually be able to do a 5K in january. it’s a fantastic feeling.
it’s funny, i haven’t lost any weight to speak of. i fluctuate within a 2-3 pound difference all the time, but don’t really focus on that. i do feel like i’m getting stronger, it’s just frustrating to be working out and not losing anything. but that’s been the story since i gained the weight in college. i’m not eating great and i know that’s part of it, but i’m not eating worse than when i started running, so i don’t know what the deal is. oy.
we have family friends coming in this weekend so that’ll be exciting. happy new year to all!
