day 4

hello! very unproductive weekend over here. 😦 ran around town to buy a new camera, ran out to the lake to check on the boats, and absolutely no physical exertion. boo-urns. but rather than beat myself up about it, i’m just focusing on today, making good choices, and going out for a real run. however, i do need to learn from this weekend. i’m reminded of a fave quote:

we cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are.

{max depree} perfect, no? anyway, on to what i did today.

today’s workout (W2D1) from c25k: brisk five-minute warmup walk. then alternate 90 seconds of jogging and two minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

statstime 1:17:15; distance 4.09 miles; calories 599; pace 18:49 (max of 8:47); heartrate average 128, max 174

thoughts: m.i.s.e.r.a.b.l.e. omg it was awful, the worst to date. my feet hurt, i was insanely slow, and it just wasn’t fun. but, i was determined to run when i was supposed to and walk when i was supposed to and still keep the same distance i’ve been doing. so it took quite a bit longer (and my pace was much slower) than last week, but i am happy that i gritted my teeth and just did it. the trek wasn’t as fast as i wanted it, my HR wasn’t as consistently high as i wanted it, but i still did it. tomorrow i’m going to need to do some non-stress cardio. we’ll see what i can come up with.

hope your exercise was better than mine. woof.
